Warmth, Hope, and Community at “The Light of Roi” Kitchen
A Chanukah of Light and Giving in Lod was marked this week at Yad B’Yad – Factory of Kindness, during a heartfelt celebration held at “The Light of Roi” kitchen.
“The Light of Roi” – a kitchen of hope established in memory of fallen IDF soldier Roi Peri z”l – serves warm, home-cooked meals every day, free of charge, to guests and those in need.
The kitchen operates with dignity, compassion, and genuine care, offering not only food, but also warmth and human connection.
As part of the Chanukah celebration, guests enjoyed a hot meat meal, soup, hot and cold drinks, sufganiyot and sfinge.
Above all, the atmosphere was filled with light, joy, and a deep sense of togetherness ❤️🍩
The event was led by Rabbi Yaakov Gloiber man and Betzalel Gloiber man, CEO of Yad B’Yad, who also distributed winter warming kits to the guests as part of the organization’s winter support initiative.
Special thanks are extended to Mrs. Mali Aris, Office Manager of Yad B’Yad, for her dedicated organization, thoughtful preparation, and heartfelt commitment to making the event meaningful and welcoming.
A Chanukah of Light and Giving in Lod serves as a powerful reminder of the impact of kindness and community support.
Together, hand in hand, we will continue to spread light, warmth, and hope 🕯️💛
