Every Thursday, Yad B’Yad – Factory of Kindness distributes hundreds of food baskets to families and senior citizens in need in the city of Lod. The baskets include fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, chicken, challah breads, wine for Shabbat, and additional essential food items.
This week, the activity was especially moving as players from the Hapoel Tel Aviv Youth Team arrived to volunteer as part of the project “Giving in the Spirit of Omri”, established in memory of fallen IDF soldier Omri Ben-Shahar z”l.
The young players were accompanied by team manager Shmulik Bell, head coach Shahar Zinger, and the dedicated professional staff. Together, they took part in preparing and distributing the food baskets alongside volunteers from Yad B’Yad.
The volunteers brought warmth, respect, and a sense of solidarity to the families and elderly residents, strengthening the connection between the local community and the world of sports.
At Yad B’Yad, we believe that cooperation, responsibility, and compassion are the foundation of a strong society. We thank the Hapoel Tel Aviv Youth Team for their meaningful contribution and for setting an inspiring example of giving and unity.
