Seudas Aniyim – Feeding the Poor While You Celebrate

מידי יום נשלחים מאות ארוחות עד לביתם של ניצולי שואה וגלמודים.
Our restaurant
We provide substantial meals every day to the elderly, Holocaust survivors, and the lonely.

There is a beautiful and time-honored Jewish tradition to host a parallel meal for the poor at the same time as one celebrates their own wedding.

This is known as Seudat Aniyim – literally, a meal for those in need.

In earlier generations, this meal would take place alongside the wedding itself, sharing the same joy and occasion. While today circumstances are different, it remains a deeply meaningful mitzvah — and a special blessing at the beginning of married life — to sponsor meals for families in need in Lod, Israel on the very day of the wedding.

Ideally, a Seudat Aniyim includes as many guests in need as there are guests at the wedding celebration.

The cost of one meal is $12 per person
Minimum sponsorship: 10 meals ($120)

Through this meaningful act, your wedding day joy brings warmth, dignity, and nourishment to families in Israel. 🤍🍞✨
